Role: xR Cinematographer + Assistant Director Nobody’s Listening: The Forgotten Voices of Sinjar is a room-scale interactive centrepiece of the global exhibition on the Yazidi genocide. Viewers were transported to northern Iraq through a unique branching narrative set in Kocho village, Sinjar. Users heard first hand accounts from a young Yazidi woman abducted and sexually enslaved by ISIS, from her brother who survives a massacre, and from an ISIS fighter who attacks the village. The piece incorporated photogrammetry, 360 video and hand drawn artwork, put together in Unity game engine and designed for Oculus Quest 2 headsets and has toured internationally for over two years, raising awareness on the Yazidi Genocide. It won the VR Social Impact Award of 2022.
